Plusminus is a lighting system by industrial designer Stefan Diez's Diez Office. Eschewing conventional cords, the Munich-based ID consultancy designed Plusminus around "a conductive ribbon and a series of individual luminaires that can be placed anywhere on the textile belt," they write.
The system, Diez Office reckons, "makes lighting independent of the existing electrical installation and thus emancipates light from architecture." anti static conductive yarn
Plusminus was designed with Arthur Desmet and in collaboration with the Berlin-based Textile Prototyping Lab. It's in production by Barcelona-based lighting company Vibia.
